DMIC - New Nike's - Percent

Today i've finished my DMIC problem. I had to figure out what objects will cost by percentages. For example there's a new hoodie cost $100 but it says 10% off then it'll cost $90 or if it's 50% off then it'll cost only $50, because 10% = $10 and 50% = $50. 

Attitude talk's

 Today we had an attitude talk with 2 people. Robby & Charlie. robby and charlie are people who goes to schools and tell's people about what you go through puberty. Like what can help you during puberty. these kind of talk's are important because there are some kids who don't know what to do during puberty and many who feels like there alone when things are changing around there body.  Like what grows in places etc. It was a very enjoyable and funny conversation. Personally i learned little thing's during the talk. And there was many stuff i could relate to during the talk.

My voice My choice

Do you believe everything you see?. For some cases there are people who haven't really sat stand and examine things or do research to determine there conclusion. So this week we were learning about things that were true and things that were false. we were looking at things that were true or false about the Covid vaccine. We watched this dude watch and talk about tiktoks related to the vaccine and tell us whether it was true or false. And he also showed us stories of people who got the vaccine and people who didn't get it before they got sick.

 Yesterday we got invited to a production at Aggs (Auckland Girls Grammar). the production also involved some boys from Saint Pauls. Other schools were there too. The production was based on the movie Foot loose and that was the name of the Production, Foot loose. The Production was fun and funny and i really enjoyed it

 Today we had immersion assembly to start of term 3, and it was about a have a healthy life style. all of the team's assembly item was about fitness, healthy diet and other thing to have a healthy life style. It was 2015 and we had a chance to meet a world war veteran, his name Robert L. The world war veteran sat us down and told us a story. It was 1944 16th of december battle of the bulge. The battle of the bulge happened when the germans launched an attack on allied forces in the forested ardennes region in belgium, luxembourg, and france.

On friday we had a magic show in the afternoon. The magic was fun and we learned some good educational things. the educational things we're what we needed in our diet to stay healthy. I forgot what were the things he said in our diet but i enjoyed and experience. My favourite trick he did is when he made a bird pop out of stuff.

It was the day when I first went to New zealand and my family decided to take me out to a restaurant, the restaurant was Denny's. The reason it was my first time in auckland is because i spent in a boarding school for most of my childhood

I haven’t heard anything about it. The food in Denny's looked good. When I tasted the cookie and cream milkshake I was wowed and was very ecstatic.

I was doing my maths work and I needed a ruler, so I looked in the drawer where all the maths equipment was and there was nothing there. I asked the teacher if she had any but she said no. So I just sat down without any ruler.

It's the 2021 state of origin game 1 and everyone was hyped nsw had a stacked team and the outcome came as expected, nsw won, 50 points to 6. So the game went well.

Denny’s restaurant is plummeting. I heard the only good thing there is the cookie and cream milkshake and that's it.

I went to collect all the rulers in my classroom but I was missing only 1.

This is just a task that i did during class. i had to write sentences of 3 main photos and had to add in 3 key words into the sentences.

Dilworth Basketball game reflection

 Yesterday on Wednesday i went to a basketball game. and we were versing against Dilworth junior school.

We played 4 quarters and split into 2 teams team 1 and team 2 i was in team 2 and we versed against 2 other basketball teams from Dilworth. And we lost both of the games. Even though we lost we had fun and at least we had a better perfromance than our last game against saint peters.

Thank you Dilworth Junior School for letting us have this fun experience.

Camp reflection

Camp Reflection

This is my reflection of the year 8 leadership camp. I was one of the leaders for coromandel. The first day of camp was quite fun. Although we only had time to do one activity cause we arrived late. It was a long bus ride to get to the camp. We went on the 19th of may. We sat down and we were split into 2 groups in each team. Team a and team b. Team A was the girls group and team B was the boy's. I was in charge of team B and Madison was in charge of team A. My group's first activity was railway jiggers.

The first day of camp was fun but I really enjoyed Thursday. We did a lot of activities. Archery, axe throwing, flying fox, paintball. And many more. Then it was dinner and we had karaoke. The karaoke was fun. People we’re singing loudly and enjoying the time. Then we had desert. We had chocolate churros for dessert with ice cream. It was very delicious. After that we had our concert. Me and Madison's team was the first group to perform our item. After that another team performed theirs. Everyone had a great time. And then after all that Mr Jacobson told us a story and a speech. Then we had to go to bed.

It was the last day. Most people in my cabin woke up early and started packing their stuff, but i was still sleeping, but then they randomly woke me up and told me to pack my stuff so i did. So I went and brushed my teeth, had breakfast, then went to the gym to play basketball. Now we went on the bus and went on a trip to a garden. Once we entered i saw ducks and a peacock i sat down and was given a sandwich and cookies, after that we got to explore the garden. There was a big lake filled with ducks and small orange fish. There was a place filled with every can drink ever created. Also we had to solve clues in the garden and if we get every question right we get given chocolate, but I kinda just wanted to explore. After that we got back on the base and left. It was a long drive back but eventually we got there before the bell rang, then I grabbed my stuff, left with my dad and went home

 Title: How to be a good brother or sister

Intro: Hello my name is valeli. And I am the second oldest child in my family. I have 2 younger brothers and 1 older sister. Here are some ways to be a good brother or sister

Info: Being a good role model. 

To be a good role model you must do the right thing. Being a good role is to show the ones who are younger than you the right thing. A role model is someone you look up to and know what is right and what is wrong. For example if there are a couple of kids doing the wrong thing you show them how to do the right thing with your actions.

Info: encouraging them.

To encourage them you must cheer them on in whatever they're doing. Encouraging the young ones and older ones you must cheer for them in whatever they're doing whether it's a dance, a speech or a big game. For example if one of your siblings are doing a dance you must cheer them on in the crowd and make them feel happy and proud

Info: help them.

To help them you must be at their aid. Helping your siblings is when you must be there for them when they're doing home-work or if they're hurt. For example if one of your siblings is hurt you go to help them and take care of them for the time being.

How to be a good friend

Hi my name is Valeli. I’ll be talking about how to be a good friend.

Info 1: Caring. Caring is one of the things needed in a good friendship. You gotta care for them when they are in need of someone or just check if they're okay. For example if your friend doesn’t look so well you go check on them to see if they're doing alright.

Info 2: Being a role model. Being a good role model to your friend is the best thing you can do. Role models are people who show others the right way and the right thing, they never look down on others and they always care for you. So if your friend is doing the wrong thing and messing around and that you gotta step up and show your right thing to do so they don't get in trouble by anyone.

Info 3: Having fun. Having fun is one of the things that happens in a good friendship. Having fun with your bestfriend or just friend is great. If they're down you can go and cheer them up. For example if your friend just had a break-up and he's crying and all that you take him somewhere to go and hangout with them to cheer them up and get that thought out of their mind.

Conclusion: These are 3 ways of how to be a good friend. Having fun, Being a good role model and caring for them. I hope you take this Information into consideration.

Writing story task

(introduction) It was june the 7th 1996. There have been reports of a large left over from an unknown creature. A special operation group and a couple of scientists were sent to the area where it was first spotted. “C’mon get us there already” the leader of the team said to the pilot. His name is Captain burns. He doesn’t have that much patience sometimes but he's good at taking charge and leading people. He has a scare on his face, but no one knows how he got it. People say him and his old fire team were attacked by a pack of tigers in a jungle when they were sleeping rumours say him and 1 other dude survived. But let me introduce myself before continuing the story. My name is Nate pierce. Being in the military runs in the family for me. The 3 other guys in my team are my buds, We've been friends since we all enlisted in the military in 1991. There is doug. Doug is our heavy soldier who carries his own heavy equipment, like a grenade launcher to a LMG (light machine gun). Then there's jacob. He's our stealthy kinda guy you know. Our sniper and watcher. And lastly there's Richard. He's our support and medic. He carries all the equipment we need if we get wounded and if we run out of ammo.

(arriving at the location) 2 hours past and we finally arrived at the location where the large boney carcass of a creature was spotted. Once the team and the scientist landed we were told that there might be some hostiles coming for the dead creatures' remains. Me and the captain walked around to check if nobody who wasn’t authorised to come was around. The others took a long look at the larger creature's remains. Doug seemed quite shakened that there might be something that large on this earth. The creature remains the size of over 100 Boeing B-52H bombers. The scientist started exploring. Doug and captain Burns started exploring with them, me, jacob and richard stayed behind to keep an eye out. An 1 hour has passed and Doug, captain burns and the scientist group hasn’t come back yet. (meanwhile) “this place his hella big’ said doug. Captain Burns took a look at him, he still seemed a bit shaken by the fact there might be another of these creatures around the world. Captain Burns put his hand on Doug's shoulder and said “calm down i doubt there might be another of these things” there were inside of the bones and there was enough room to fit a tank in here. Then they heard a loud echo in front of them. Captain Burns and Doug stood in front of the scientist. They pointed a flash light then they saw a small looking creature. They saw 1 then 2 then 3 and then more than 40 of them popped out.

(Being attacked) more and more of those creatures started popping up. A second later Captain burns shouted “RUN!” doug and the scientist started running. The small creatures started chasing them there were on top of them on the walls next to them. They had sharp claws and small spikey teeth. Doug stopped for a moment then started shooting grenades at the swarm. So did the captain burns. The scientist kept on running, it was gonna take them a while to get out of there since they traveled so far. 5 minutes have passed of running captain burns and Doug caught up to the scientist. One of the scientists saw something gooey on doug. He asked “WHAT’S THAT ON YOUR SHOULDER”. Before Doug could reply Captain Burns said “IT’S ACID”, Scientist: “ACID?”, Captain Burns: “YES ACID, THOSE THINGS CAN SPIT ACID”. They both took a look at Doug and it looked like he was about to pass out. Seconds later Doug fell to the floor, “It must be the acid” Captain burn said. Captain Burns and one of the scientists lifted up Doug and carried him. Another scientist said that they could see light. A minute passed and they made it out of the creature's remains. The second Richard saw captain burns and the scientist lay Doug down on the ground he rushed over there.

(The attack aftermath) Richard starts doing medical persegers on Doug “HE GOT POISONED AND HIS PULSE is SLOWING DOWN” he yelled. “What can I do to help?” i said, Richard replied with “GO TO THE TENT AND FIND THE BLUE BOX”. I ran to the tent and grabbed the blue box, I rushed out of there and gave it to richard. He got out something that can slow down the poison inside of someone. He applied it to Doug (1 hour later) Richard came out of the tent and said “Doug will survive, but he wont wake up for a while”, Later Richard called a helicopter to come and pick him up. a few more minutes had passed and the helicopter came to pick Doug up and transport him to a hospital. Meanwhile the rest of us had to stay back and continue with the mission. Moments later there was unexplained screaming the fire team went to check it out and out came all those little creatures and that was all the information we knew about what happened to that fire team. Introduction letter

Hello, My name is Valeli and I am Samoan. I am very excited for school in 2021 and getting to do fun stuff.

I was born in wellington but moved to Auckland when i was 6. The first school I attended in Auckland was Wakaaranga primary school for 1 year then i went to Pt England primary school.

I live in a family of 6 but 4 more of my relatives moved in. I am the second oldest child and my sister is the first. My 4 relatives that moved in with my family from Samoa there are my uncles and auntie and my grandpa. My mum and dad also was born in Samoa but moved to New Zealand

The thing that i accomplished in life is facing my fear of heights at camp Benson. I was tied to a rope and i had to climb up this wall and then slowly come down i kept on looking at the ground and i started getting more nervous but i kept my mind open, looked up into the sky then slowly came down

I love to chill and listen to music on my own. The type of music i like to listen to is Hip hip, RnB and the type of music to sit back and relax to. I enjoy playing sports like soccer and basketball. I also like to watch youtube videos and anime. My favourite anime to watch is Dragon ball, Attack on titan, demon slayer and My hero academia. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

I am very excited to be at school this year and hope it will be a good one. I will try my best to get good grades and make my teachers proud and hope the year goes well for y'all.
